Upon reading the humble Peticon of Francis Geary< no role >
late Keeper for New Prison at Clerkenwell in this
County exhibited unto this Court Setting forth that
he was about a yeare & three quarters since placed
in Keeper of the Sd Prison, after a great expense
at law in asserting the right of her Maties Justices of
the peace for this County to the placeing in of a
Keeper both at Westmr. hall & elsewhere, And that the
Petr hath alsoo been at great expence in repaireing
the Sd Prison since his admission into the Sd Office,
And in regard the Petr. hath great charge of
children and is soe soon displaced from the Sd Office
It was prayed by the Petr. that this Court would be
pleased to grant an order that he may be reimbursed
the Sd. expenses & repaires, whereupon It is Ordered
by this Court that it be And It is hereby recomended
& referred unto Nathaniel Manlove< no role > Richard Rider< no role >
John Fuller< no role > John Offley< no role > John Metcalfe< no role > Robt. Thornhill< no role >
Junr . John Bucknall< no role > John Worley< no role > Alexander Ward< no role >

Hanway< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the peace for this County & to
such other Justices of the peace for the Sd County as shall
think fit to be present or any five of them to inspect the
attempts of the Petr. disbursmts for the necessary repaire
of New Prison aforesd, and to inquire if any of the Sd
repaires were done by any order of this Court, And
to certify to her Maties. Justices of the peace at the next
Generall Sessions of the peace to be held for this County
whether any & what allowance ought to in their
Judgmts. to be made to the Petr. on attempt of the said
repaires, And It is further Ordered by this Court
that it be And It is hereby recomended & referred
unto the Sd Referrees to inquire what expenses the
Petr. hath been put unto upon attempt of his election
to be Keeper of the Sd. Prison, and whether such money
