WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, whose Heads and
Seals are hereunto fet,Two ofherMajesties Justices of the
Peace of theCounty of Middx
(Quorum unus) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
ParishofSt Botolphs Aldgate in the said County, that
Elizabeth Man< no role > widdow with one Child named John
Man
< no role > Aged about Seaven weekes Old
islately come into the saidParishendeavouring to settle
herselfe And Childthere, without giving Notice in Writing to the said
Church Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, or any one of them of the House
ofherabode in the saidParishaccording to
the Statute in that Case made and provided: And [..] whereas itt Appeareth
unto the Said Justices upon her Examinacon as to her
Sircumstances that She and her Said Child arefurther
likely to become chargeable to the saidParishAnd whereas it appeareth
unto Us the said Justices upon the Oath of the saidElizabeth Man< no role > that
her late husband Francis Man< no role > was in his lifetime

[..] last legally settled in theParishof Kingstone
upon Thames in the County of Surry where he was borne and Serv'd
his Apprentissipp to a Tayler in the Said Parish of Kingstone
upon Thames And we cannot find upon her Examinacon that he
[..] any other Settlement Since his Apprentisship nor She since her widdow
hood therefore we the Said Justices doe Adjudge her Settlement and Said
Childs to be in the Said Parish of Kingstone open Thames abovesaid
These are therefore inherMajesties Name straitly to Charge and Com-
mand you, and every of you, forthwith upon fight hereof, to remove and
convey the saidElizabeth Man< no role > And her Said Child John out
of hour Said Parish of St Botolphs Aldgate to the Parish
of Kingstone upon Thames in the County of Surry
and deliverthemunto the Church-Wardens, and Overseers of the
Poor there, who are hereby required to provide forthem
according to Law: Hereof fail not at your Perils. Given under our Hands
and Seals, theEleaventhday ofAprill Ann dom 1709
