Whereas appeal was made to this Court the first day of this prsent Sessions by the Church
wardens & Overseers of the poor [..] Hadley in this County agt. an Order
dated the nineteenth day of February

for this County (Quor unus) whereby a
male young infant which was on the Seaventeenth day of August last
laid att the door of
one Stephen Westwood< no role >
in the parish of Southmyms
in this County was removed from the Same
parish to the Said parish of Montin Hadley
as the place of its birth & legall Settlemt. Whereupon
itt was ordered that the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the Said parish of Southmyms
Should have notice of the Said appeale & that they & all other parties concerned Should attend
this Court this day to hear & abide the Judgment & determinacon of this Court touching the Said
appeale, And whereas the Said Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor of the Said parish of
Southmyms attended this Court accordingly in the prsence of the Said Appellants & made itt
appeare to this Court that they could not be ready with their Wittnesses to have the Said
matter fully heard & determined this present Sessions, Itt is therefore thought fitt & ordered
by this Court that (upon the payment of fifteene Shillings by the Churchwarden & Overseers
of the poor of the Said parish of Southmyms to the Churchwarden & Overseers of the
poor of the Said parish of Montin Hadley
or out of them or their Sollicitor towards the
costs & charges for Councell & other expences for this doup attendance) [..] the hearing &
determining of the Said appeale be adjorned to the Second day of the next Generall Sessions
of the peace to be held for this County being Wednesday the eight day of June next
att ten of
the clock in the forenoone att Hicks Hall
aforesaid & that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poore of the Said parish of Montin Hadley
& all other persons concerned
upon notice hereof doe then attend her Maties Justices of the peace for this County which
will be then present in Sessions to hear & abide their Judgement & determinacon
upon and touching the Said Appeale.
