To the Churchwarden and ovrseers of the poor
of the hamblet of Poplar and Blackwall
in the pish of Stepney in the County of
Middlx .

Whereas Complaint hath beene made by your
unto us whose names are subscribed two of her Majts
Justices of the peace of the said County of Middx (Quarun)
that about Seaven years agoe one Jasper
feild
< no role > came into your said hamlet & there
intended to Settle himselfe with his wife
Elizabeth < no role > in a house or tenement under Ten
pounds P ann & gave noe such notice to you
thereof as the Law directesh neither hath been
rated to the Church or poor nor Served only
Pish office in your said hamblet whereby to
gaine any Setlement and being now both dead
they have left a child named Joseph Feild< no role >
aged about four years which appears to us to
become chargeable to your said hamlet, And
for as much as It appeareth unto as upon a
strict Inquiry as alsoe upon the Examinacon
of the said Elizabeth on oath taken before
her desease that her said husband was borne
at Hatfeildin the County
of Hartford and neo other Setlemt: appearing
unto as the doe adjudge his legall setlement
to be at Hat feild aforesaid where his said
thold ought to be provided for (Stress are
therefore in her Mats. name to will & require
You forthwith upon rews hereof to remove and
convey the said third Joseph Feild< no role > from and
out of Yor. said hamblet to Hatfeild aforesd.
and him there deliver to the Churchwarden &
overseers of the poor to be provided for as the
law directeth Given under our hands and
seales the Twentith day of December Anno Dnd
