To ye Constables Church Wardens & Overseers of the
Poor of ye Parish of St. Sepulcher in the County of Midds
And to ye Church Wardens & Overseers of ye Poor of the
Parish of St: Bridget als Brides London.

Whereas it appeareth unto Us Two of her Maties: Justices of the
Peace for ye County of Midds (Quor un) upon ye Complt: of the
Church Warden [..] & Overseers of ye poor of ye Parish of St: [..]
Sepulcher in ye sd County That Francis Plenty< no role > a Child about
Eight years old, ye Son of Richard Plenty< no role > & Mary< no role > his wife , was
left in ye their sd Parish abt: A Month ago by his sd Mother,
who is Since absconded, & not to be found. And whereas it
also appeareth unto us, That neither ye sd Father nor
Mother of ye sd Child have taken any care to provide for
him, by reason whereof ye sd Child who hath not any thing
where wth: to maintain himself now is, & unavoidably will
continue a great Charge Petr. sd Parish of St Sepulcher if
not timely prvented. And whereas it further appeareth
unto us by a Certificate under ye hand of Stephen Rose< no role >
Parish Clerk of ye Parish of St. Bridget als Brides London
That ye sd Francis Plenty< no role > ye Son of ye sd Richard plenty< no role > &
Mary< no role > his wife was [..] baptiz'd on ye Twenty third day of July
wch was in ye Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred , Oath
being made before us by Andrew Niphright< no role > of ye sd Parish
of St: Sepulcher Cordwainer that ye sd Certificate is according
to ye Register Book of ye sd Parish of St: Bridget als Brides
London . And now upon carefull & diligent Exaiacon Wee
cannot finde any place of ye legall Settlemt: of ye sd Father and
Mother of ye sd Child, or of either of them. We do therefore
adjudge ye sd Parish of St: Bridget als Brides London to be ye
place of ye last legal Settlemt: of ye sd Child, he having been
baptiz'd there, & that ye sd Child ought to be sent the there

These are therefore in her Maties: name to require you upon Sight hereof to passe and
convey ye sd Francis Plenty< no role > from ye sd parish of St:Sepulcher to ye sd Parish
of St: Bridget als Brides London , & to deliver him, together wth this presept, to
ye Church Wardens & Overseers of ye Pe or there, or to some or one of them,
who are hereby required [..] him to receive & provide for as they do for other
Such Poor of their sd Parish untill they shall be freed from him by due
Course of Lane. And this shall be yor. Warrt Given under [..] our hands and
Seals this Fourth day of September Anno Domini 1708
