The Examination of Elizabeth Adderly< no role > taken
before me Ralph Marshall< no role > Esqr . this 13th. day
of November Anno Dui 1697.

The Examinant being duely Examined Saith That she has
been acquainted with William Russell< no role > about a yeare that he
came to her house yesterday Morning and Stay'd. mostpart
of the day there but what his buisness was she does not know
that at might he asked her to goe to Covent Garden Markett
the next Morning to buy fruitt which be said he would sell
[..] gaine by retaile and accordingly call'd. he up this Morning
about fine of the Cloche and as they came together into
Covent Garden Markett he gave her six shillings, and did
her buy what apples, she thought of itt, and accordingly
she bought a Mannd of Apples of one John Fearne< no role > for
which she paid fine of the six shillings she received from
the said William Russell< no role > , who had with drawn himselfel
when she bought the said apples, and then calling him, became
& tooke possession of the said Mannd and there she left him
intending to goe home by herselfe (she lineing in Shoreditch )
out was seiz'd neare the piaza in Covent Garden
