The Exaiacon of Margret Evans< no role > wife of Evan
Evans
< no role > of the pish of St. James Gardner taken
upon oath this 8th: day of 9ber 1697.

Who saith this day between the howers of two
and three of the Clock she had feloniously taken
from of the plat from of her house severall
points of rough dryed Linnen, vizt a Night Raile
fouerteen handcercheifes an Apron two wrought
Night Cappl, two bibb Aprons for Children three
Childrens Mastcoates and a Childs smock & severall
other small peines of Linner. all which things were
found in the Custody of Jane Vaughan< no role > who was
then taken by Mr Robinson near this Exaiancs
house.

Samuel Robinson< no role > of the pish of St. James Smith
made oath that he apprhended the above named
Jane Vaughan< no role > into all the goods abovemenconed
in her Apron which the sd Margaret Evans< no role > Saris
were Stolen from her.

oath ye she saw the above named Jane Vaughan< no role >
standing our the way agt Mr Evans house, and
abt the same tyme another ran out of the house
& called to the sd Jane Vaughan< no role > , & said to her come
away for I have gott them.

Betty a dutch woman gave her the sd Linnen to
carry them along with her to a Countrey woman of
hers & told her they were her own.
