I am comanded by his Majesty to declare his Pleasure to the
Justices of the County of Middx in A matter of Importance, I
therefore desire you will take the best method you can to
give Notice to the rest of the Gentlemen in that Comission
of the Peace that they or Soe many as Conveniently can
may come along with you to my House in Lincolns
Inn fields on Tuesday next at Six in the Evening to
receive such his Majesty's Commands

Council,

The Chairman together with the other Justices (who were
Summoned by his Direction for that purpose) attended the
Lord high Chancellour at the time and place mentioned
in the Said Letter, who gave in charge & recommended
to them the Execution of his Majesty's commands
expressed in the said Order in Council,

The Justices in Obedience thereunto assembled and met
together at Hicks hall in St. John Prest on the Eleventh
and twentieth days of May 1721 in Order to consider of
Some proper method to suppress the Wicked Clubs or
Societies of young People referred to in his Majesty's said
Order, and to put a Stop to all manner of Vice, immoralty
and Profaneness, of which severall Meetings, Publique
notice was given in the London Gazetts, and that all
Persons who were able and willing to make any
Discovery or give Information touching the Premisses
were desired to attend at the time and place left above
mentioned, and that they should receive all incouragement
But no Person comeing to make any Discovery or give
any such Information the Justices afterwards on the
Twenty Sixth day of the same Month of May drew up the
following Representation to the Lord Chancellor which they
delivered to his Lordship on the thirteenth day of June
following being the day appointed by his Lordship to
receive the same,
