September 1800.

to desist on Account of the consequences, they since
been several times to day crying out starving
Ellwood is< no role > in a cell with me they hissed and groaned
at him, a number of Persons made a Noise in the different
Galleries besides these he has named, the other Persons
he does not know, they were in other Galleries, the noise
began in the Gallery he slept in, I heard them singing
in other parts before, Tanner has the Newspaper once
or twice a Week, I have heard him say so. last night
he said Damn my Eyes, we shall have the Paper full
of this here on Sunday, meaning the Rioting, has
not seen any other thing in the Prison since he has been
in, that he has had reason to give Information of, has
seen Turner and Sully write Letters and get them
Conveyed out which he believes was with his Linen
and Plates and things, heard Thomas had a Letter
discovered last Week, which he was sending out of the
Prison, has been treated well by the Governor and
Turnkeys since he has been in the Prison and has
no fault to find with his treatment, I have been very
well since, I have been in the Prison the information
I gave to day was a Voluntary information, I told
Ellwood, I would give information to Chapman when
he came to let me out, heard several of the People call
out "No Price" , "No Keys". "bloody end to them ", "bloody
Murder to them", the other Turnkeys they clapped.

a Prisoner at the said House of Correction under sentence
of imprisonment for the term of Twelve Months, convicted
of Sheep Stealing,Who says he has been confined
in a cell with another Man named Nicholson untill< no role >
the Night before last, that the Night before last, the
Prisoners began making a Noise soon after being locked
