February 1798.

Baber Bridge and also an Estimate of the expence of doing
the same and also that Mr. Rogers do consider in what
manner the said Bridge might be made more safe and
Convenient for the Publick use and an Estimate of the
Expence which would necessary attend such Improvement
and repair of the said Bridge and that he do lay the
same together with the Report of his Opinion thereon
before the Court on the County Day of the next Session

By adjournment same Day.

The Revd. Dr.. Glasse laid before the Court
the Report of the Prison Committee and the same being
Read as follows

Report of the proceedings of the Prison
Committee since the last Session of January 1798.

The 36th. Meeting of this Committee was held
on Monday the 22d. day of January 1798.-When
the Chaplain applied for 2. Dozen of the Christian
Monitor which the Committee Ordered to be provided
the number of Prisoners this Day were 228. Vizt.
187. Men in which number 42. Mutineers are
included and 41. Women.

Mr.. Webb the Surgeon informed the Committee
that there are two Prisoners in the Sick Ward Vizt.
Brady the Mutineer whose Leg is getting better and a
Women who is much deranged in her Mind

It appeared to this Committee that Mr.. Hopkins
had not proceeded in putting up the New Boiler at
the House of Correction pursuant to the Order of the
last Committee-Ordered That Mr.. Aris be directed
to call upon Mr.. Hopkins to desire him to proceed in
