A Person having attended to inform the Court that
Mr Robert Jones< no role > the High Constable for Westminster Division in
this County was out of Town and had not received the Order for his
attendance on this Court this day. which had been left at his
House subsequent to his quitting Town. It was Ordered that
the Clerk of the Peace do send an Order to the said Robert Jones< no role >
peremptorily requiring him to attend the Court here on Saturday
next at One o Clock precisely.

The following Letter from Mr Janes being laid before
the Court and Read Vizt.

Sir

I am desir'd by a Board of the Trustees of the Brentford
Turnpike held the Eleventh day of July last to renew the Application
that was made to the Magistrates pursuant to the directions of a
Board of the Eleventh of Janry preceeding respecting the Bridge on the
Staines Road near the Powder Mills called Baber Bridge , as being
in a dangerous situation (when sundry long Extracts and Copies of
Minutes of a Committee appointed by that last mentioned Board
were transmitted to you, and which I take the liberty now to refer
to) and at the same time the Chairman was desired to say, that if
the Magistrates would acknowledge that Bridge to be a County Bridge
the Turnpike Trust would be ready to enter into a treaty for doing
the propos'd Repairs and improvements; which seeming to be declin'd
be the Magistrates, I am now therefore further desired to acquaint
you that it was the Resolution of the abovementioned Board of
Trustees of the Eleventh of July last, that in case the Magistrates
would not acknowledge the beforementioned Bridge to be a County
Bridge (on the authority of the Case The King). The West Riding of
Yorkshire determined in Easter Term 10 Geo: 3d. when it was held
that a Bridge having been built by any Person or Persons and
