February 1795.

With a view to the object of bringing under the consideration of
the Court every fact which has any relation to the general and
specific expence attending the Establishments of the County Prisons
the Reporter has endeavoured as far as the nature of the case will
Admit in the present early stage of the Institution to form an
Estimate of the probable and future Expence of the New House of
Correction as now constituted together with the Profits which may be
expected from the Fees and other Emoluments arising from the
Prison and also from the labour of the Prisoners which Estimate is
formed upon the scale of 120 Prisoners being the Average number
which appears to have been in confinement during the last year.
