And it being also represented to the Court that a Bill of Indictment was
presented against the County on Account of the said Bridge being insufficient
and out of repair which being also read. Resolved that the consideration of
the said two several Letters be postponed and that Mr Rogers the Surveyor of
the County do view the said Bridge and do cause the Repairs to be done to the
said Bridge which he may think necessary if the same do not exceed the
Sum of £5. And if the same do exceed that Sum that then he do make an Estimate
of the Repairs necessary to be done to the said Bridge and report his Opinion
of the state of the said Bridge to the Court on the next County day.

The Report of the Committee appointed to consider of the Appointment
of officers and of adopting Regulations for the Government of the New House of
Correction for this County, being laid before the Court and read Resolved
that the said Report be received.

By Adjournment same day

Resolved that the Chapel belonging to the said New House of
Correction be opened on Sunday the 27th. Instant and The Reverend Samuel
Glasse DD . having been requested to Preach a Sermon on that occasion
and The Revd. Dr Gabriel to read Prayers to which they have severally assented
Resolved that the thanks of this Court be given to them for their ready
compliance with the said request.

By Adjournment same day

Resolved that two Magistrates be appointed to inspect the
Prisons in rotation between every Session and to report the state of the
said Prisons to the Court on the County day of the next Session when two
other Magistrates are to be appointed for the like purpose.

Resolved that The Revd. Dr Glasse and William Bleamire< no role > Esqr.
be appointed to inspect the Prisons and make their Report thereon to
the next Session.
