The Treasurer begs leave to submit to the Chairmans considn.
the propriety of taking the sentiments of the Court upon his claim to
some Allowance for extra Services imposed by the Militia Laws, making
it necessary to open Accounts and transact business with the Overseers of
the several Parishes in Middx & the Treasurers of other Counties, this
requires constant attention and the assistance of a Clerk.
If the Court is not bound by the Letter of 12 Geo: 1. c. 29: fixing
the Treasurers Salary, he humbly presumes that some compensation will
be made him the extent of which is submitted to the justice of the Court.

Governor
of the
House of Correction
at Clerkenwell

Humbly Sheweth
That your Petitioner was appointed Governor
of the said
House of Correction
in the Month of October last and upon entering upon the
Duties of his Office the Executor of Mr John Harwood< no role >
the late Governor
informed your Petitioner that there were various Articles of Furniture Etc then
on the Premises that his late Brother had paid for and that it would be
necessary for your Petitioner to pay him for them: That your Petitioner and
the said Executor mutually agreed that Mr Murrell of Ray Street Cold Bath
fields Appraiser and Auctioneer should appraise the said Goods between
both Parties which he has accordingly done as will appear in the Inventory
and appraisement hereto annexed
