William Mainwaring< no role > Esquire the Chairman
Reported that in Compliance with the Request of the Court at the
last Session he had applied to Mr Bently the Attorney for the
Representatives of the late Mr. Baine and informed him that the Court
had consented to give a further Sum of £100 as a Compensation to
his Clients for the Loss they might sustain by the alteration of the
Price of Stocks between the Time agreeing for the Purchase of their
Interest and the present time and that Mr. Bentley their Attorney
had on their parts agreed to accept the same and that he was now
willing to complete the purchase of the Ground in Cold Bath fields
so far as respectted his Clients as soon as possible.

Mr. Chairman also informed the Court that the
Body of Quakers had withdrawn their application relative to
the Garden Ground late in the possession of Edward Hartwright< no role >
adjoining the present House of Correction and that they did not
mean to treat further on that subject.

By adjournment same day

The Committee to whom it was Referred at the last
Session to carry into Execution the Resolution of the Court for Raising
Money to defray the Expence of building the House of Correction
having informed the Court that they were of Opinion that in
consequence of the alteration in the funds they should not be able
to raise the Money for defraying the expence of building the said
House of Correction at 4 P Ct. and having prayed the Court to take
the same into their consideration - Resolved that application be
made to Mr. Wm. Morgan< no role > of the Equitable Society at Bridge Street
Blackfriars to calculate the - Interest that will be equal to
the present price of Stock under the proposal for raising the said
Money.
