The Resolution of September Sess
1783 relative to the purchase of
the Quakers Ground read}

Two persons from the body of the
people called quakers attended &
informed the Court that they cod.
not Consent to wave their agreemt.}

and were ready to deliver
possession of that part of the
premises called the Garden
Ground}

The Resolution of the Sessions in September 1783 to agree with the
people called Quakers for the purchase of their Interest in the Ground and
Buildings situate in the parish of St James Clerkenwell being Read and
the Court being informed That Two Gentlemen from the Body of people
called Quakers attended in Consequence of the proposal made to them
pursuant to the Order of Court by Jacob Leroux< no role > Esqr . Vizt. "That the
"Agreement made between them and this Court for the purchase of their
"Interest in the Ground and Buildings above mentioned should be vacated"
and they being called in informed the Court that in Consequence of the above
proposal they attended the Court with the Answer of their Body thereto
Vizt. "That having purchased other Ground for the purposes to which they
"intended to have applied this they could not think of waving the said
"Agreement. And that they were in pursuance of their said
"Agreement ready to deliver to His Majestys Justices of the peace for this
"County the Possession of that part of the Premises called the Garden Ground "
and being desired to withdraw

Resolution thereupon

Resolved unanimously That upon the Possession of
the Garden Ground being delivered the Sum of Four hundred Pounds
part of the Consideration Money be paid to the Quakers pursuant to
the Agreement heretofore entered into respecting the same

that the Method of raising
Money for building the House
of Correction and for disposing
of the Quakers Ground should be
Considered at the adjournment
day}

Resolved That the Method to be pursued for the
raising the Money for the Building the House of Correction and also for
disposing of the Quakers Ground be considered at the adjournment day of
this present Session.

By adjournment same day

Ordered that the Minute for
preventing Mr Hurst taking a
copy of his plan etc be Rescinded}

Mr Blackburn and Mr Hirst having both had notice to attend
this Court on this Day and the Court being informed that Mr Hirst only
attended he was called in and the Court having heard what he had to alledge
in exculpation of the Charge made against him by Mr. Blackburn and
being withdrawn It was moved That the Minute of the 24th. day of
February last for preventing Mr Hurst from having a Copy of his Plan etc
be rescinded, and the same was ordered accordingly. And he being
again called in was acquainted therewith
