Middlesex

At the General Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King holden in and for the County
of Middlesex at the Session House for the
said County on Monday the 2d. day of
December 1782:

Mr Eyles being called upon to explain why the Chertsey
Committee were summoned to meet at Chertsey on Wednesday the
4th day of December Instant laid before the Sessions the three
following Letters Vizt

''Salisbury Street 21st. Novr 1782.''

No. I.''Dear Sir,''

''Mr. Brown has requested me to Trouble you being
"some immediate step may be taken that he receive his money
"for the last Certificates signed by Act Couse and myself for use
"distinct Sums be begs that I will state to you that the want of those
"Sums distress him very much.''

"If it is giving you too much trouble. I beg that you will
"send those Certificates to me who has frequent Oppurtunity to get [..]
"signed by the Gentlemen of Litchfield Street."

"I do beg that the next meeting of the Bridge Committee
"may be summoned to meet it the Swan Chertsey on the 4th. of next Month

"I am Sir.

No. II.."Dear Sir,

"Upon the last Certificate in favour of Mr. Browns
"have got an Order for the payment to him of £196, half the amount
"thereof; being the share chargeable to Middlesex . The former Certific [..]
"must remain for the consideration of the Bridge Committee to who
"it was referred. In respect to your desire to have the Committee
"called to meet at the Swarm Inn in Chertsey on the 4th. of Decemr. next
