who acted as Deputy or Clerk to the
late Mr Stephen Weaver< no role >
at the time of his Decease as collector of the Tolls
& of the Saint James & Haymarket
be and he is hereby empowered to
receive and Collect the said Tolls Etc until a Collector thereof shall be duly
appointed
Ordered that Mr Eyles the Treasurer of the Tolls of the St James's
Haymarket do lay a State of his Accounts before His Majesty's Justices
of the peace
for this County and for the City and Liberty of Westminster
at their Meeting to be holden on the 14th day of February next

Resolved that the further consideration of the said Petitions be
postponed till the 14th day of February next
Resolved that a Copy of these Resolutions be Transmitted to the
Clerk of the Peace
for the City and Liberty of Westminster
It being represented to this Court that since the date of the Commission
of the peace for this County to wit the 2d day of September 1775 and also
the last Commission of the peace for this County to wit the 31st day of July
1781 a much greater number of Justices do usually attend the Sessions
of the peace than before were accustomed to do that there is only taken of
the Sheriff Wages for 24 Justices each day of the Sessions besides two
Shillings for the Clerk of the Peace and that often there are far more

and they are hereby appointed a Committee to consider how the number of
"Justices who may receive wages for attending the Sessions of the Peace for this
"County came to be limited to twenty four whether any and what addition
"ought to be demanded and to whom an application for such addition ought
"to be made" and to Report their Opinion thereof And the said Committee are
to meet at for the first time at Hicks Hall on Thursday the seventeenth
