The Clerk of the Peace reported that in pursuance of the
Resolution of this Court of Yesterday he had waited upon His
Grace the Duke of Northumberland Custos Rotulorum of this
County and had informed His Grace of the Appointment of
William Mainwaring< no role >
Esquire
to be Chairman of the General
Quarter and General Session of the peace and Session of Oyer
and Terminer
for this County and that His Grace had directed
him to present his respectful Compliments to the Magistrates
to thank them for their obliging attention to him and to assi [..]
them that their Election of Mr Mainwaring had met his
most entire approbation being well satisfied that the great
abilities as well as the Unshaken Integrity of that Gentleman
rendered him a very proper object of their Choice and such
as he had not the least doubt would do the highest honour
to the Chair of the County of Middlesex
