Having received a Letter from the Adjutant General
observing that the Zeal of the Magistrates of the County of Middlesex
in
Executing the Recruiting Act has relaxed, I take the Liberty of sending Your
Grace herewith a Copy fit, & am persuaded that if any thing ocours to Your
Grace by which You think this Service can be forwarded. Your Grace will
take without delay the necessary Steps for that purpose; I ask pardon for
giving Your Grace this trouble & have the honor to be with great Respect

Having been for a few days out of Town, I did not receive the favour
of Your Letter, inclosing a Copy of the Adjutants Generals Letter to You, until
my Return home this day: I am Extremely Sorry to find that there has
been any Relaxation in the Zeal of the Magistrates of the County of
Middlesex
in Executing the Recruiting Act, And I beg leave to a Source
You that I shall immediately recommend to the Gentlemen who are
appointed to put this Law in force, a Continuation of their best
Exertions, and Endeavours to forward this essential Service, in the most
Effectual manner and without delay
