the said Committee to be fully and clearly proved on Oath viz that
the said John Gretton< no role > having issued his Warrant against one Patri [..]

< no role > upon the complaint of John Ross< no role > for a Felony the said Pab [..]

< no role > was apprehended and committed by the said John Gretton< no role > a [..]
that thereupon the said John Gretton< no role > the Justice made out a Bill a [..]
among other charges demanded of the said John Ross< no role > for informations
ten Shillings and for recognizances thirteen Shillings which Demand
the said Committee declared to be in their Judgment extorsive oppres [..]
and illegal

That it also appeared to the said Committee by the affidavit of
Catherine Murphy< no role > a poor infirm Woman aged 69 that she the said
Catherine had been forcibly taken and carried before the said John Gre [..]
though without any Warrant or even Information That after being
closely confined by order of the said Justice from two o'Clock in the after [..]
'till ten o' Clock at night in his House during which time she was
rumaged and pulled about by the said Justice was afterwards
committed to the House of Correction at Clerkenwell for unlawfully
offering to Sale a quantity of Tea without License or Permit as
appears by the Warrant of Commitment to her affidavit annexed w [..]
she remained until the next day when she was discharged by the [..]
Justice her Son having paid to the said Justice himself the Sum of m [..]
pound eleven Shillings and six pence for such her discharge

That it also appeared to the said Committee upon the exam [..]
on Oath of Thomas Terry< no role > a credible person that on the 15th day of O [..]
last he was Summoned to appear the same day before John Gretton< no role >
Esquire at his House in Margaret Street at seven o' Clock in [..]
evening to answer the complaint of Robert Knighton< no role > (who it app [..]
to your Committee Acts as Clerk to the said Justice) for contempt in not
paying the fees of Office of eight Shillings according to a Process issue [..]
out against him against the Statute That the said Thomas Terry< no role > [..]
eight o' Clock the same Evening was apprehended upon a Warrant
granted by the said Justice for the said Offence and taken before him
and that when before the said Justice instead of eight Shillings for
which he had been so Summoned the said Justice demanded the
Sum of fifteen Shillings and six pence which the said Thomas Te [..]
was obliged to pay before he could be discharged
