necessary in consequence of the Death of Mr William Herbert< no role > to have a new
Attorney appointed in his stead in the new Feoffment of the County Estate
to receive seizin of the same and the said Deeds necessarily re engross'd and
re executed and that he proceed therein as Mr. Duane should advises The
Clerk of the Peace in pursuance thereof having consulted Mr Duane on the
premises and Mr Duane advising the appointment of a fresh Attorney in the
said Deed for the purpose abovementioned and the reengrossing and reexecution.
of the same and a new appointment of an Attorney as aforesaid having been
made and the Deeds newly engrossed All which this Court approving It is
ordered that the Deputy Clerk of the Peace do wait on Sir Joseph Ayliffe Houlding< no role > Bart as
soon as he can conveniently to get the Deeds executed by him.

It is ordered by this Court that His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this County and
for the City and Liberty of Westminster vizt Sr Chas Whitworth< no role > Knt . Sir Henry Cheere< no role > Bart John
Barnfather Jeremiah Bentham< no role > Charles Dodd< no role > Philip Dyot< no role > and any other
Gentleman in the Commission of the Peace who may please to attend or any
three of them be and they are hereby appointed a Committee appointed to
enquire into the Receipt of the Toll of the Hay market how the same has been
disposed of according to the 8th & 9th of William the third and everything,
relative thereto And it is hereby recommended and referred unto the said
Justices or to any three or more of them to assemble and meet together for the
purpose aforesaid at Hicks Hall in St John Street on Monday next the 1st of
November at the howe of Eleven in the forenoon and at such other times and
places as they shall think fit.

Mr Edward Hall< no role > the Governor of the House of Correction of this County
having prayed the protection of the Court in a suit Commenced against him
by Mr William Hardwidge< no role > for an Assault in the due execution of the Orders
of the Court at the last Session: It is now ordered that the said Mr Edward
Hall
< no role > be supported by the Court in the prosecution now carrying on against
him by the said Mr Wm Hardwidge< no role > , And it is further ordered that Mr
Clarke of the Old South Sea House Attorney at Law be desir'd to conduct
the defence to be made by the said Mr Edward Hall< no role > in the said suit

Mr Edward Hall< no role > Governor of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
having deliver'd into this Court an account of the Loss sustained by keeping
those persons to constant work who are committed to hard Labour owing
to the low price of Hemp and other causes, and having also proposed to the
Court to keep the persons so committed to constant and hard Labour and to
abide the Chance for the annual Allowance of £25. It is ordered that the
consideration of the said proposal be and the same is hereby deferred until
the County day of the next General Session of the Peace to be holden for this
County And it is recommended by the Court to the said Edwd Hall< no role > to keep to
Persons committed to Hard Labour constantly at Work in the mean
