Upon reading the Petition of William Aldwin< no role > of Harrow
Weald in the Parish of Harrow on the Hill in the County of Middlesex
Tallow Chandler setting forth That the Petitioner has to the best of his
Skill and Judgment Executed the Office of one of the Chief or High
Constables of the Hundred of Gore in the said County of Middlesex for
the space of one Year and would chearfully continue so to do but that he
finds the said Office is a great detriment and loss to him in his
business the duty of the said Office taking him from his business very
much That there are several persons proper to serve the said office
the names of some of whom the Petitioner has inserted at the foot thereof
and therfore humbly praying to be discharged and that some other
person may be appointed to serve the Office of High Constable in his
stead And this Court being satisfied in the Premises Doth appoint
Joseph Read< no role > of Wembley in the said County of Middlesex to be High
Constable within the said Hundred in the place and stead of the
said william Aldwin< no role > and dothorder that the said Joseph Read< no role >
on notice hereof do appear at the next General Quarter Session of the
peace to be holden for this County on Monday the Tenth day of
January next by Twelve of the Clock at Noon to take his Oath
for the due Execution of the said Office and that from and after the
said Joseph Reads taking the said Oath the said William
Aldwin is to stand absolutely discharged from his said Office

By adjournment same day

At this Court a report from the Committee of his
Majestys Justices of the peace for this County appointed on the
Twenty Second day of April last to carry into immediate execution
the effectual Repair of New Prison Etc and also further appointed
