Day 1730 whereby several Sums mentioned in an Account affixed
were ordered to be paid
An Order made of the 15th. Octr. 1730 on the Information

. one of the standing Committee that the
Inhabitants of the upper end of the Haymarket
whose Houses were
excluded by the Toll Post lately setup, insisted that their Houses
were within the Limits of the Haymarket
and that the Pavement
before them ought to be repaired out of the Toll and that they intended
to proceed at Law to try the limits of the said Haymarket
whereby
it was referred to the said Committee to make enquiry upon Oath
touching the limits of the said Haymarket
and if it should appear
that the houses lately excluded were within the Limits of the Haymarket
the Committee were impowered to dedicate the surplus if any to the
paving the same in case of the Inhabitants in case the Inhabitants
of the whole Haymarket
would agree if the surplus was not
sufficient to raise a necessary Sum for the same by a Rate upon
the Inhabitants
An Order of the 3d. Decr. 1730 for the Report of
the Committee concerning the above matter to be made at the next
Session
An Order of the 5th. Decr.1730 for the standing
Committee to contract with Mr. John Mist< no role >
for paving and
Keeping in Repair all or any part of that part of the Haymarket
which was excluded by the Toll post for the remainder of his former
Term and impowering the Committee in case of an Agreement with
Mist to remove the Toll post to any part they should think fit
Report of the Committee in which it is said that they had agreed
with Mist to pave the remaining part of the Haymarket
excluded
by the Post containing in length 220 feet in consideration of the whole
