Whereas at the General Quarter Session of the Peace
holden for the County of Middlesex
on Monday in the Week
next after the Feast of Epiphany to wit the thirteenth day of
January in the Year one thousand seven hundred and sixty six
It was presented by the Grand Jury of the said County that a
certain part of the County Bridge over the River Thames
commonly
called Chertsea Bridge situate in the Parish of Littleton
in the
said County then was and for some time past had been in decay and
want of Reparation and Whereas his Majestys Justices of the
peace in General Sessions assembled have resolved and directed
that so much of the said Publick Bridge as lyes within the said
County of Middlesex
be repaired with all convenient Expedition
and whereas the said Richard Jupp< no role >
hath proposed Agreed and
Undertaken
to and with his Majesty's said Justices assembled
in the last General Session of the Peace holden for the said County by
adjournment on Thursday the nineteenth day of this instant
February for the Considerations herein after mentioned (and whereas

doth hereby declare himself to be fully
satisfyed and contented) to do and perform the said Repairs and
all Business relation thereunto at the Rates or Prices herein after
mentioned under the direction of Boulton Mainwaring< no role >

or such other Surveyor as the said Justices shall for that Purpose
appoint and it was thereupon Ordered that upon hin Entring into
Contract with four or five of his Majestys Justices of the peace
