every such Sum or Sums of Money as shall be paid into his hands by
virtue of and in pursuance of the said Act is to be deemed and taken to be
the publick stock of the said County and the said Court of General
quarter Session of the Peace did Order that the said James Jefferson< no role >
be allowed the Sum of Twenty Pounds by the Year as a Salary for his
care Trouble and Pains in the Execution of the Trust reposed in him
as Treasurer to be paid to him in such manner as by the said Act is
directed in Consideration of which yearly Sum of Twenty Pounds to be
Allowed and paid to him as aforesaid He the said James Jefferson< no role >
together with his Sureties above named have consented to and are become
bound in the above written Bonds or Obligations upon the Condition
following that is to say The Condition of the said Obligation is
such that if the said James Jefferson< no role > his Exors or Admors do well and
truly pay or cause to be paid all and every such Sum and Sums of
Money as shall be from time to time paid into his hands by virtue of
and in pursuance of the said Act of Parliament Assessed in the said
Rate or in any other Subsequent rate to be made for the purpose
mentioned in the said Act (over and above his said Yearly Salary of
Twenty Pounds and other Subsequent Allowances) to such person and
Persons as the Justices of the Peace for the said County at their
respective General or Quarter Sessions or the greatest part of them then
and there assembled shall by their Orders from time to time direct and
Appoint for the uses and purposes mentioned in the said Act and for any
other uses and purposes to which the Publick Stock of the said County is
and shall be applicable by Law and also if the said James Jefferson< no role >
do keep Books of Entries of the several Sums of money respectively
received and paid by him in pursuance of the said Act and also
deliver in true and exact Accounts upon Oath if required of all and
every the Sum and Sums of Money respectively received and paid by him
pursuant to the said Act distinguishing the particular uses to which
Sum or Sums of Money have been applied to the Justices of the Peace
for the said County at their General or quarter Sessions respectively And
also deposite all the Accounts and Vouchers of him the said James
Jefferson as Treasurer and of the High Constables after having been passed
by the said Justices at their respective General or Quarter Sessions with
the Clerk of the Peace for the time being of the said County to be Kept
among the Records of the said County for the inspection of the said
Justices as Occasion shall require and that he the said James
Jefferson will duly and faithfully Execute the Trusts reposed in
