And also to inspect the Bill of Mr. James Willder< no role > Clerk to the Justices
appointed to use their Endeavour to put a Stop to the Spreading of the
Distemper amongst the horned Cattle in the Said County for his Service
and Expences, and to State what Sum of Money ought to be paid to
him thereupon.

And also to reconsider the Account of Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of
this County which was laid before the Committee at the last Sessions,
and which this Court doth now recommitt to their further Consideration.

And also to inspect the Bill of Robert Allen< no role > Painter for Painters
Work done at the House of Correction at Clerkenwell , and to See if
the Same is reasonable, and to State what Sum of Money ought to
be paid to him thereupon.

And also to inspect an Account of Repairs mentioned to be wanting
at the House of Correction at Clerkenwell , and to consider if the Same
are necessary to be done.

And the Said Committee are desired to make their Reports to the Court
touching the Matters aforesaid.

By adjornment on Friday the 74th. Day of April, 1749 .

Upon the humble Petition of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. Clement Danes in this County Exhibited
unto this Court Setting forth that Mary Burgen< no role > This name instance is in set 3553. Singlewoman a
Vagrant not having a Settlement in the Said Parish of St. Clement
Danes was on the Seventh Day of March last delivered of a male
Bastard Child< no role > in Little Sheir Lane in the Said Parish of St.
Clement Danes by means whereof the Inhabitants of the Said
Parish were obliged necessarily to Expend the Sum of One Pound
twelve Shillings and Sixpence for the lyeing in and Maintenance
of the Said Mary Burgen, And that in pursuance of an Act of
Parliament made in the Seventeenth Year of his present Majesty's
Reign Intitled An Act to amend and make more effectual the
Laws relating to Rogues Vagabonds and other idle and disorderly
Persons and to houses of Correction, the Petitioners conveyed the Said
Mary Burgen to one of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for this
County who examined the Said Mary Burgen and Committed her to
the house of Correction pursuant to the Said Statute, and the Petrs.
