Committee to view what
Repairs are wanting
to be done to the House
of Correction at
Clerkenwell

Upon reading the humble Petition of
Henry Wallbanck< no role >
Keeper of the House of Correction
at Clerkenwell
in this County
exhibited unto this Court Setting forth That the Said Goal
is greatly out of Repair in Several places by raining in
and doing a great deal of Damage to the Hemp, and that
the Wall of the Gateway is very much out of Repair,
And that the Pales parting the Prison Yard and the
Garden wants repairing, and other little Necessaries to be
be done, And the Petitioner therefore prayed that this
Court will be pleased to take the Said Matters into
Consideration, And to make Some Order touching the
Same, Where upon It is Ordered by this Court that it be
And It is hereby recommended unto

of this
County to give direction for doing Such Small Repairs
as he Shall find necessary to be immediately done to the
Said House of Correction, And to the end that Such
further Repairs as Shall be necessary may be done
there unto after there Shall be a convenient Season for
the doing the Same, It is in the mean time Ordered by
this Court that it be, And It is hereby recommended and
referred unto
