By adjornment on Thursday the fifteenth Day of May, 1746 .

Order for a Letter to be
written by the Clerk of the

Day of the next Quarter
Sessions.}

Whereas by an Order made by the Court of the last General
Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the County of Middx by
Adjornment on Thursday the tenth Day of April last It was
Ordered that a Letter should be written by the Clerk of the Peace
unto Thomas Jones< no role > Esqr . to acquaint him that his Majesty< no role > 's
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx assembled at the
said Sessions desired that he would dine with them at Hicks Hall
on this present Thursday the fifteenth day of May instant being
the County Day of this present General Sessions of the Peace for
Middx, and after Dinner inform them why he Bailed Sarah
Moss out of New Prison at Clerkenwell who was committed
thither by Richard Ricards< no role > Esqr . on Oath of Mary Collett< no role > on
Suspition of Feloniously Stealing from out of the House of
John Lewis< no role > a Gold Ring her Property, and also on her own
verbal Confession, Which Letter was accordingly written
and left with the said Mr. Jones, And the said Mr. Jones
declining to be this Day present at Hicks Hall with his Majesty< no role > 's
Justices of the Peace touching the said Affaire, having Sent a
Letter to the Clerk of the Peace in Order to have his Non
appearance excused, It is Ordered that another Letter be
written by the Clerk of the Peace to the said Mr Jones to
acquaint him that the said Justices of the Peace desire and
insist that he dine with them at Hickshall on Thursday the
third Day of July next being the County Day of the next Quarter
Sessions and after Dinner inform them of his Reasons for
Bailing the said Sarah Moss< no role > out of the said Prison who was
committed thither as aforesaid.
