That the Continuance and Permission of these Fairs can in
no respect answer any good and or Purpose and is certainly
attended with manifold Inconveniences both to private Performs
and Families and to the Public in general, This Court is
therefore of Opinion that it is highly necessary to put an
immediate Stop to these Fairs and thereby to the Growth and
Increase of Vice Immorality and Prophanenessthat we
may in some measure by these Means avert the Judgments
which threaten the Kingdom and may thereby hope to bring
down the Blessing of Almighty God upon us.

And whereas this Court hath as this present General
Sessions made an Order for preventing the Grievances aforesd.
whereby it is recomended to the Justices in each Division by
Warrant or Order under their Hands and Seals to require [..]
the High Constables Petty Constables and Headboroughs within
the respective Divisions in which the said Fairs or any of them
are holden, to apprehend all and every Players of Interludes
Plays or Drolls and other Persons who shall Act Exhibit or
Shew any such Interludes Plays or Drolls, or play at, or
encourage or procure any unlawful Game or Games to be
played at in any Playhouse Booth, Shed, or other place in
or near such Fair or Fairs and to carry all and every Person
or Persons so offending before one or more of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices
of the Peace for the said County to the End they may be punished
according to Law, And to prevent Suppress as much as in
them lies, all Tipling and Selling of Liquors in any unlicensed
House Booth Shed or Place where the said Fairs or any of
them are holden. This Court doth now further Resolve
and Order that a Sufficient Number of the said Orders be
forthwith printed and that the the High Constables respectively
do cause the same to be posted up in Publick Places within
their respective Divisions and particularly at and about the
Place or Places where the said Fairs are usually kept for the
better Notification thereof to the Intent that all Persons [..]
