Order for Mr. Higgs the County
Trearer to pay £69.5s.0d. to Mr.
Samuel Bond< no role > in full of his
demand relating to the Middx
part of Chertsea Bridge }

A Report being made unto this Court, Ore tenns, by James Cliltherow< no role > John Elliot< no role > This name instance is in set 3963. and Boulton
Mainwaring Esqrs . three of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for the County of Middx concerning the
Account of Mr. Samuel Bond< no role > who was employed as Surveyor to superintead the rebuilding the Middx
part of Chertsea Bridge and matters relating thereunto, that in their Opinion the sum of one
hundred and twenty pounds was a reasonable Satisfaction and Compensation for the said Mr.
Bond for surveying and measuring the Works, employing and paying Bricklayers and
Labourers attending upon the said Works one hundred and four days and five days in
making out all the Accounts in all one hundred and nine days excluding Horse hire and
his Expences, which the said Committee in their Opinion thought was a reasonable Sum to
be allowed to the said Mr. Bond for the same And Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of the
said County informing this Court that he hath paid to the said Mr. Bond in part thereof the
Sum of forty pounds and the said Mr. Bond charges himself with the receipt of ten
pounds fifteen shillings for the old Timber so that after a deduction thereof there will
remain only the sum of sixty nine pounds five shillings due to the said Mr. Bond
on account of the matters aforesaid And this Court taking the premises into their
Consideration doth ratify and confirm the said Report and the said Report is
hereby ratified and confirmed And the said Mr. Bond praying that this Court
will please to order that the same may be paid unto him, It is thereupon Ordered by
this Court that the said Mr. Higgs do as soon as he shall have sufficient money in
his hands for this purpose pay the said sum of Sixty nine pounds and five shillings
unto the said Mr. Bond in full of his demand on account of the premisses aforesaid
or any other matter relating to the Middx part of Chertsea Bridge aforesaid Ann
that the Receipt of the said Mr. Bond together with this Order shall be a sufficient
discharge to the said Treasurer for such payment

of the Hay Market Etc}

It is Ordered by this Court that Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire Chairman of this Court The Right

Poulson and John Lawton< no role > Esquires Justices of the peace of this County of Middx or
any two or more of them be and they are hereby appointed a standing Committee to oversee
the pavement of the Hay Market in the Parishes of St. Martin in the Fields and St
James within the Liberty of Westminster in the said County. And to take care and see that
the same be from time to time repaired and maintained with all and manner of needfull
and necessary Reparations and Amendments when and as often as necessity shall be And that
the Boundary Posts and Boundary stones of the said Hay Market be Preserved and kept in
their Proper places, And also from to time to deliver or leave or cause to be
delivered or left Notice in Writing under their Hands to or for the Executors or Administrators
of John Mist< no role > Pavior deceased or some or one of them repair according to the Court act of
the said John Mist< no role > in that behalf made, all and every or any part or parts of the pavement of
the said Hay Market which shall or may be at any time or times hereafter during the
Continuance of the said Contract out of repair in Six days next after such Notice shall be
delivered to or left for the said executors or Administrators or some or one of them
And that in case the said Executors or Administrators shall neglect to repair the said
