By Adjournment on Thursday the 14th. Day of April 1743 .

appointing Mr. John.
Randall High< no role > Constable
of Holborn Division
within the Hundred of
Ossulston in the Stead
and place of Mr. John
Wilson}

It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Wilson< no role > High Constable of
Holborn Division within the Hundred of Ossulston in this County be &
he is hereby absolutely discharged from his said Office of High Constable
And this Court doth appoint John Randall< no role > of the parish of St. Andrew
Holborn within the said Division and Hundred in the said County
Gent to be high Constable of Holborn Division aforesaid in the
stead and place of the said John Wilson< no role > And this Court doth Order
that the said John Randall< no role > do forthwith attend this Court and take
his Oath for his due Execution of the Office of High Constable of the
said Division.

By Adjournment on Thursday the 14th Day of April 1743.

Order for repairing the
House of Correction at
Clerkenwell & Etc.}

Whereas by an Order made in June Session 1742. It was recommended and
referred unto Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire Sr. Joseph Ayloff< no role > Houlding Baronet
Nicholas Jefferys< no role > James Clitherow< no role > Henry Norris< no role > Robert Tothill< no role > Thomas Deveil< no role >
John Elliott< no role > This name instance is in set 3963. Merry Teshmaker Samuel Tatem< no role > William Withers< no role > Richard
Farwell Nathaniel< no role > Chandler Francis Hole< no role > John Poulson< no role > Richard Ricards< no role >
and Thomas Moore< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the peace for this County or any three
or more of them to meet together at the Dwelling house of the Keeper
of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell in the said County And to take
some able Workman to their Assistance, And to see if any and what repairs
were wanting and necessary to be done to the said House of Correction or
Dwelling house, And if any and what Materials were wanting and necessary
to be provided for the Safe keeping of the prisoners, And to make an Estimate
of what the Charge of doing the said repairs and providing the said Materials
might account unto, And whereas John Elliott< no role > This name instance is in set 3963. John Poulson< no role > and Francis
Hole
< no role > Esqrs . being a Quorum of the said Committee have made their Report
in Writing touching the matter referred by the said order In which It is
mentioned that the said Committee did next at the Dwelling house of the
said Keeper And found that there are several repairs fit and necessary
to be done to the same as followeth

The Wall in the Garden next the Corporation Workhouse is in
so bad and ruinous Condition That the Committee are of Opinion that three
Buttresses should be built to support the same

In the Kitchen

To make a Stone Chimney Piece and Slab to the Fire place.
To Line the Kitchen all over Chair high.
To be plaistered and White washed all over
The Sink to be new Leaded and Framed

In the Parlour on the left Hand Ground Floor

To be Lined all over Chair high
The Walls and Coiling to be plaistered and White washed
The Lineing of the Room Window Frames & Window Shutters to be painted
Cast Iron Weights & pullies to the Windows
To portland Stone Chimney piece Slab and Fire Stone
