Resolution [..] touching
the making Satisfaction
to Mr. Kidwell & Mr. Butler
in case of damage done
to their ground by the
Workmen employed in
the rebuilding Brentford
Bridge Or in case of
refusall to accept Such
Satisfaction, to defend
Workmen against
actions Etc}

Information being given unto this Court that Mr. Robert
Kidwell & Mr. William Butler< no role > who have each of them
ground near Brentford Bridge , which is now rebuilding,
do threaten to bring actions at Law against the Workmen
employed in the rebuilding the Said Bridge, upon pretence
that their ground is dampnifyed by the Said workmen by
the placeing of Stone, bricks, timber or other materials
thereupon necessary to be used in & about rebuilding
the aforesaid Bridge, It is Ordered by this Court that it be
And It is hereby recomended and referred unto Sr.
Joseph Ayloff< no role > Houlding Bart< no role > . James Clitherow< no role > and
Richard Bulstrode< no role > Esquires three of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices
of the peace for this County or any one or more of them
to acquaint the Said Mr. Kidwell & Mr. Butler in case they
or either of them Shall alledge that their Said ground is
dampnifyed by the Said workmen employed in
rebuilding the Said Bridge that the Court of Sessions of the
peace for this County hath resolved And this Court doth
accordingly Resolve that Satisfaction Shall be made to
them respectively for Such damage, And in case the Said
Mr. Kidwell or Mr. Butler Shall not acquiesce under Such
resolution, but will notwith Standing proceed to bring
actions or cause actions to be brought against the Said
Workmen or any of them upon pretence of Such damage
as aforesaid Then this Court doth declare and resolve
that Such actions Shall be defended on behalf of the Said
Workmen at the expence of the County of Middx, And this
Court doth recomend and referr it to the Said three
Justices or any one or more of them to cause Such defence
to be made, and Some proper Attorney or Attorneys to
be employed for that purpose.
