Order concerning
Sr. John Gonson< no role >

Whereas mention was made in the London
Gazett of the First day of August One thousand
Seven hundred and twenty Seven that the
Address of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
of this County to Congratulate his present
Majestye upon his Accession to the Throne
was presented by John Milner< no role > This name instance is in set 4214. Esquire the
Chairman and Sir John Gonson< no role > Knight
accompanyed by the Commission of Peace
in a Body, And a Debate haveing arisen
how or by what means the Name of the
said Sir John Gonson< no role > was particularly,
incerted in the said Gazett as one of the
Justices who presented the said Address
(though in a Resolution of the Court made
in July Sessions last It was Resolved that
the said Address Should be presented to his
Majestie only by the Chairman of the Court
attended by the Body of the Justices of the
Peace of the said County which Address
was accordingly presented by the Chairman
only in that manner) This Court upon the
said Debate Did unanimously express and
delare the highest Resentment of the said
proceeding and doth look upon the same and
the manner of doing it (which was by a
Marginall Addition of the Name of the said
Sir John Gonson< no role > in a feigned handwriting
on the Back of the said Address) as an high
