Small Number of the Justices of the Peace , of this
County, It is Ordered by this Court that the said
Chairman be and he is hereby desired to attend
the said Custos Rotlor againe and acquaint him
with the humble desire of the Justices of the
Peace of this County to be permitted to attend
his Majesty< no role > in a Body with their said Address,
as hath been usuall for them to doe,

The humble Address of your Majestyes Justices of
the Pence for the County of Middlesex assembled
in their Generall Quarter Sessions held at
Hicks hall by adjornment on the Sixth
day of July 1727.

Most gracious Sovereign

We your Majesties most faithfull and Loyall
Subjects the Justices of the Peace of this County
Beg leave, in the most dutifull manner to give your
Majesty this Publick Testimony, of our Sorrow and
Concerne for the Death of our late Gracious Sovereign
and of the Satisfaction and pleasure, with which
our Hearts are filled, on your Majesties Accession
to the Imperiall Crown of these Kingdomes.
We doe with the Sincerest Joy, congratulate your
Majesty, Wee own and Recognize your most just and
rightfull Title, and Wee find ourselves in expressibly
happy, under the Government of a Prince, possest of
all the Vertues, which can adorne the Thorne or bless
his Subjects. A Prince, who knows, that the wellfare
of the People is the Cheese, and the most Noble End of
Government , and that true Glory is only to be
acquired by doing Good to Man Kind. Your Majesty
is already invested as our Sovereigne, with all the
