examination of the said Henry Mackeris< no role > that at
Michaelmas last there was due and owing to him the
Sume of one hundred and twenty pounds which he
ought to be forthwith paid for the said service, This
Court upon consideration had of the said Report Doth
satisfy and confirm the same And Doth Order that it be
And It is hereby recomended and referred to the same
Comittee of Justices residing within the said hundred
of Edmonton to examine and inform themselves by
such ways and means as they shall think proper if
the conveying of vagrants in and through this County
cannot be done and performed cheaper and at a less
expence to this County than the same hath been
and is now done for, And also to Order and direct the
said Henry Mackeris< no role > or any person to be appointed to
succeed him in the said busyness of conveying of
Vagrants to produce and bring in before the Court of
Sessions of the peace for this County an account of the
passes whereby such Vagrants: hall be conveyed and
of the number of the same from whence and whither
passed and how many Miles, and of the prices at which
the said Vagrants shall be passed and conveyed for the
year ensueing to the intent that such account may be
inspected and pemsed by the Court, and the said Comitee
of Justices are hereby desired to certify an account in
writing of their proceedings and of their opinions touching
the premisses unto the Court of General or Quarter
Sessions of the peace to be holden for this County.

Ludford Constable of
Southmims relating to
the passing of Vagrants
Etc}

Whereas upon Consideration had by the Court of the last
Generall Sessions of the peace holden for this County by
Adjornment on Thursday the Ninth day of December
last of the petition of Nicholas Ludford< no role > one of the petty
Constables of Southmims in this County praying that
he might be paid the Sume of Ten pounds for one
quarters allowance for his honable and expences in
passing and conveying of Vagrants through this
County due to him at Michaelmas last, It was by
Order made by the said Count recomended and referred
