To the Kings most Excellent Matie.

The humble Address of your Maties Justices of the peace
for the County of Middx assembled in their Generall
Sessions held at Hicks hall by adjornment on Fryday
the twenty fifth day of May One thousand Seven
hundred & Sixteen

Most Gracious Sovereign

Congratulatory Address
to his Matie. for suppressing
the late Rebellion

With the utmost Zeal and pleasure We embrace
this opportunity to congratulate your Matie on the Success
of your Councils & Arms in Suppressing the late unnaturall
Rebellion, Which threatened us in its rise and progress with
all the Miseries and Calamities of a Civil War, and in its
event and Success with the totall Subversion of our Laws our
liberties and Religion

We are truely Sensible of the happiness we enjoy under your
Maties Government in the Security of all our Civil & Religions
Interests, And as you will now be at Liberty to prosecute those
Measures, you Wisdom and Goodness has Converted for the
Welfare of your people, we hope you will receive the just
return of duty & affeccon from them, At least we may
presume even your Enemies will be convinced that the
begining of your Reign was the only Season wherein they
could flatter themselves with Success in attempting to Seduce
any Dumber of your Subjects

We crase leave to renew the Assurances of our
Loyalty & Fidelity to your most Sacred Person & Government
and of our Steady adherence to the Succession established in
your Royall Family, and that We will continue to make
Such use of the Authority wherewith we are intrusted, as may
most effectually promote the Ease of your Maties Reign and
Preserve the publick peace and tranquility
