Warehouseman, maketh
oath and saith, that he was summonsed on the Grand Jury for the city of
London, on or about January last; that he is not a house-keeper residing
in the house for which he was summonsed, nor in any other house in the
City of London
, but that this deponent is a house-keeper in the County
of Surry
and consequently subject to serve on all Juries for that County
that this deponent never has slept in the house for which he was sum-
monsed, that he is only a boarder at the table of one of his Partners
who is the house-Keeper and who as occupying the said houses, between
three and four years since as this deponent has been informed and believes
served on the Grand Jury for the City of London
; that this deponent was
informed that for these reasons he was not liable to serve, upon which
he sent the beadle of the ward to the returning officer with his Summons
to state to him his situation and get his name taken out, which the
beadle upon returning to this deponent assured him he had done, and
that he had left the Summons with the returning officer, therefore
this deponent did not attend at Guildhall
