where they were stopt by a Person who took them back to Price's
That Howlett, Oliver< no role > and him this Examinant had not been
out together that Day. That Examinant met Mr. Delarieve
in Lime Street and thought he knew him. Examinantsayd
doth not recollect his having sayd he was Sir Edmund Affleck< no role >
nor any Thing else does he recollect He this Examinant might
have sayd to Mr. Delarieve. He this Examinant mentioned
something about a Vacancy in the India House by the Death
of some Gentleman, and that, he this Examinant would give him
the said Mr. Delarieve a Direction to the Harrieses of the Long
Room in the Custom House . That he this Examinant does
not recollect his going into any Public House with Mr. Delarieve
That he recollects the Gentleman leading him three Guineas
at Price's That he asked him to lend him three Guineas
which he immediately did. That he this Examinant knows
nothing of Gambling.

Examinant was asked if he would
sign the aforegoing Examination
which he refuesed to dobefore us}
