Howlett on Tuesday last somewhere near the Top of Lime
Street in the said City of London That Examinant meet
the said Howlett about Twelve or One o'Clock of the same
Day in Lime Street aforesaid. That Examinant had been
walking on black Friars Bridge with a View of calling on
Butter in the Borough of Lowthers Ducas Saint Thomas's
Hospital. That Examinant was told by one Hail whom
he met by chance that a Portsmouth Acquainted was
then at the Nums in White Chapel in the said County of
Middlesex . That when he left Black Friars Bridge Ex-
aminant went up Ludgate Hill and passed on the Right
Hand through Saint Paul's Church Yard into Watling Street
Examinant doth not recollect passing by the Mansion House
[..] Royal Exchange . Examinant doth not know the India
House. That Examinant did not go in Light of the
Tower. That Examinant did not go into the Nuns aforesaid
having forget the Name of his Acquaintance Examinant
doth not know the Cause at Aldgate. That Examinant
doth not recollect passing the Minories , for he walked rather
fast and did not take any Notice of either Hay, Carts, or
Coaches in White Chapel , and upon his Oath Saith he
doth not recollect the Hour He was in White Chapel
aforesaid, That he met the said Howlett in the Street by Chance
who sayd that he was going to receive some Money from
Michael Green< no role > , and the said Howlett asked Examinant
to go and leave something to Drink [..] That Examinant
doth not recollect receiving any particular Instructions about
Gaming from Green or Howlett, That he played with Mr.
Delarieve and the said Green and Howlett but doth not
know who proposed the Game. That Examinant doth not
know what Money he had when he was apprehended on
Tuesday last, nor what Money he hath expanded since his
