The sd Informant on his Oath Saith that he together
with one John George< no role >
Servant
to one Mrs. George about Four
Months ago did feloniously in the Night time take and
Carry away out of a Barge belonging to John Norman< no role >
then lyeing in the River of Thames
near Puddle Dock
two Sacks of Malt containing Eight Bushells which they
Imediately carried to Chelsea
and there Sold the Same to
one John Neale< no role >
a Waterman
for twelve Shillings which
the sd Neale paid this Examt & the sd John George which
they divided equally between them And that about
a Fortnight afterwards this Examt. & the sd George Stole
out of another Lighter then lyeing at Still Staires one
Sack of Malt quantity Four Bushells which they
also [..] Sold to the sd John Neale< no role >
for Six Shillings but
this Examt Says that he does not knowes whose Ppty the
sd last Sack of Malt was And Saith that about Ten
Weeks ago this Examt & the sd John George Stole out of a
Lighter lyeing at Chumleys Brew house
two Sacks of Oats
which they Sold to a Porter at Hunger ford Markett who
goes by the Nick Name of Mace for Nine Shillings wch.
the sd George reced & kept to himself without giveing
this Examt any Share thereof And further Saith
that about the 11th day of this prsent Augt. this Examt. and the
Sd John George stole out of a Barge (in which was loose
Corn) abt five bushells of Malt & put the same into a
Sack and Carried it to a Coffee house
in Harp Lane & there
Sold four Bushells of it to a Young Man who is a Servt at
the sd Coffee house
and Saith that ye Barge where out the last
man could Malt Stolen lay off against Bear Key & that one
Garratt was Master of the sd Barge And Saith that
