Who being upon Oath, says, that sometime about
the Month of August last, he was a Passenger
on board the Active Ordnance Storeship, Thomas

, then lying in Cape Coast
Road on the Coast of Africa
, and then bound for
England
; That Captain Mc. Kenzie then
Commanded Fort Moree
', on the said Coast,
which is near Black Town
; That at about Six
o'Clock on Sunday Morning, in or about the
said Month of August, this Informant
being
then in Black Town
, he observed the People in
great Consternation and Alarm, and on enquiring
into the Cause, was informed, that said Captn
Mc: Kenzie had Pointed two Great Guns upon
the Town, and threatned to lay it to the ground,
if they did not deliver up his Nephew
; That in
about half an Hour afterwards, this Informant
went up to the Fort , where he saw a great
Number of Negroes, and Presently saw said
Captain
Mc. Kenzie come out of his House,
with a Pistol in each Hand, and followed by
two Men, one of whom this Informant was
Informed, was his Nephew
; That said Captn
Mc. Kenzie drew back, whilst said two Men
