for the things they had brought Informant told
his Master, that he suspected the Prisoner s
had robbed himInformant as the Prisoners
were going out of the Shop, stood before them,
and told them they should not 'till Mr
Pearson came down StairsInformant
saw the Prisoner Williams secrete two Pieces
of Edging under a Hat that was in the Window
upon which Informant went up, took the Hat
off the Edging, and challenged Williams with
stealing the Pieces of EdgingWilliams said
to Mr Pearson, "Certainly you know me, you
dont think I would be guilty of such a thing"
The Constable March was sent for and came
Todd (Informant) saw Wilson with the
Piece of Ribbon now produced in her Possession
endeavouring to get rid of itAnd the
said Charles Pearson< no role > for himself saith that
the Informant Todd told him of his Suspicious
of the Prisoners, and he saw the Edging under
the HatAnd the said William March< no role >
For himself saith, that he came into the
Shop, he was the Prisoner Wilson much
confused, and the Ribbon now produced was
taken off the Stoolwhere she was sitting
which was near where she was sitting.
