The joint and several Informations of David
Barry of Deptford , in the County of Kent , Ship Carpenter,
Thomas Kennett< no role > of Seawal Lane, London Butcher and
Samuel Roberts< no role > of Cock Lane, London, Turner Who
being on Oath severally say And First the said David
Barry For himself saith, that on Friday Night between
the hours of Eleven and twelve he, in return From
Saint James's , met with the two Prisoners Sarah
Mortimer
< no role > and Mary Bath< no role > in Fleet Market
Says, that he had been drinking very Freely, and was
much intoxicated with LiquorSays, that at this
time he had a silver Watch not now produced, also
the silver shoe Buckle, and leather Pocket Book now
Produced, in his Possession, and whilst Informant was
standing in Conversation with the Prisoners, he perceived
an Attempt to take his WatchSays, that after
some Space of time, he missed his Watch, and gave
the Alarm, by which the Prisoners were secured
and brought to the Watch HouseSays, that he
is Fully satisfied in his Conscience, the two Prisoners
were concerned in stealing the Watch, and also the
Pocket Book and BuckleAnd the said
Thomas Kennett< no role > For himself saith, that upon
searching the Prisoner Mortimer, he Found the
silver shoe buckle now produced And the said
Samuel Roberts< no role > Found the Pocket Book and
Knife now produced upon Mary Bath< no role > .
