The Information of Rebecca< no role > the Wife of William Page< no role >
of No 118 Bishopgate Street London taken this 22nd day
of January 1783

Informant Saith that she had been on Sunday Evening last
at a Meeting House in Saint Helens and returned home between
nine and ten OClock at Night, upon her coming home she found
her said Husband at home where, he had been as she was informed
during her absence, that she went into the Kitchen behind the
shop and that her said Husband came to her there and asked
what she would have for supper and said I know you are
fond of Ham, and I will all you some, that she went up Stairs
and soon returned where her said Husband brot. some Ham
into the said Kitchen to her, and he went for some Bur
(which he seldom used to do) and brot. a pitt in his Hand back
(which was more them the usual quantity) that they both sat
down to supper but he eat nothing upon which she asked
him why he [..] not partake of the Supper and he replied
that he had eat heartily at Tea and [..] did not got [..] any that
after Supper, and the things were taken away he desired
as he had often done before which she had dealings that she [..] stay upandwhile
he wrote a Letter to his Mother in Suffolk, she then told
him that she wod. rather not May as she was tired but
upon his saying he wod. rather she wod. [..] she consented
that then her said Husband ordered the Servant to [..]
see the Door fact and go to bed which she did thattheir
he that sat down at the same Table with her in the
Kitchen and< no role > began to Write a Letter to her Mother and
she being Sleepy told him I am so sleepy I am no Company
for you, that he replied you are Company for me if you are
asleep, that she then laid her head upon the her Arm
the Table and fell a sleep that she soon after and asked
and found her said Husband was gone out of the Room
that she saw he had not furnished his Letter which she too
up and ready that she lay down again and dozed [..]
and awake and found her said Husband was not there
but he Com returned and said that he had a purging upon
