for the said City Who saith, that he
was regularly bred up to a sea faring Life, being bound
an Apprentice
, when twelve Years of Age, to Messrs Brown
and Jones at LiverpoolSays, that he served all his
Apprenticeship
of Four Years to those Gentlemen, and
afterwards served them before the Mast for the space
of Five YearsSays that the last Ship he served Messrs
Brown and Jones on board of was the Sarah Goldburn,
which he quitted at Port
Royal in Jamaica, and he
there went on, board the Vigilant Letter of Margue
bound for Bristol
, which was taken by two French
Men of WarSays, there were some Cannister
Shot Fired before the Vigilant struck, whereby he lost
his right ArmSays, he was taken Prisoner and
carried
, First to Brest where he remained about eleven
MonthsSays, he was exchanged, and arrived at Dover
about ten Months agoSays, that the Model of the
Ship now produced, was made by the Carpenter
of the
VigilantSays, that since he came From Dover, he has
not been in any regular Employment, but depended
chiefly upon Charity bestowed by Persons for seeing
the Model of the Ship
