severally say as follows and first this Informant
Matthew Parkinson< no role >
for himself saith that he knows
Samuel Farnham< no role >
the prisoner now under Examination
that he lived several Years as a porter with the above
named Reeves Chadwick & Hilton, and until the time
of his being apprehended; says that having lately
been suspected by his Masters of stealing Goods
on
on Account of some Information that he resorted to
houses the Inhabitants whereof were suspected of
being Receivers of stolen Goods, he on Wednesday
Evening followed the said

stoppingwent with him
to the Castle in Woodstreet
in Order to look at a
Gun and whilst he was there he believes James Crowther sent to Woodstreet
Computer for a Constable upon Which the Deponent

came and searched the said prisoner Farnham, and
found upon him the remnant of Silk Loretto now
produced containing in Quantity about two Yards and
one Quarter of a Yard of the Value of about six
Shillings, and upwards, wrapt up in the paper
it
now also produced, says that the said Farnham
then saidas he understood him acknowledged the
taking it from his said Masters declaring at the
same time that it was the first thing he had
ever done, or some Words to that EffectAnd this
