The Informations of William Hanson< no role > of Miles
Lane London< no role > Merchant John Miles< no role > of White Street
Little Moorefields London Stable Keeper and William
Smart of the Pavement in Little Moorefields Sadler
Taken this 26thDay of June 1782

Informant William Hanson< no role > for himself Saith that there was
Stolen from his Stable at Low Layton in the County of Essex a
Saddle and Bridle Four Rollers and three Girths and having
been informed about a fortnight ago that a Saddle and Bridle
of Informants had been offered to Sale to John Miles< no role > the
Informant above named, whereupon this Informant went to the
House of the said John Miles< no role > and was told by him that ThomasJohn
Winton
< no role > the Prisoner now under Examination had offered to sell
him a Bridle and Saddle and Several other Kings which
Answered the Description of the things that had been Stolen from
Informant as aforesaid that the Prisoner having lived Servant
with Informant but discharged about the beginning of this Month
Informant wrote him a Letter acquainting him of the Information
he had received and desired his returning the things he had Stolen
from Informant but the Prisoner not attending to Informants
said Letter he therefore gave Orders for his being Apprehended
which was accordingly done, and the Saddle Bridle and other
things now produced were in a few days after returned to
Informant at his House in Miles Lane aforesaid by Prisoners
Wife who told Informant that she brought them by the order
of the Prisoner and therefore hoped Informant would forgive
him

Informant John Miles< no role > for himself saith that about a
fortnight ago the Prisoner Thomas Winton< no role > brought to Informants
House the Sadle Bridle and other things now produced and
Sworn to by the said Informant William Hanson< no role > which the
Prisoner offered to sell Informant who did not chuse to buy
them but told Prisoner he might lease them and that he
Informant would endeavor to sell them for the Prisoner
that the Prisoner thereupon said that he would leave them

That Informant apprehending that he had Some Knowledge of
the Saddle Sent to Informant William Smart< no role > and desired
to see him, whereupon Smart came to Informant Stable in
