Who being on Oath's saith that
Yesterday as he was entering into the City through
Temple Bar
he perceived a full made at his pocket
& immediately turning about he saw the prisoner now under Examion

suppering him a suspicions Character, after he had
tomissed his Handkerchief, sized him the said
Carrick and charged him with stealing his Handkerchif
which he
[..] denied,
butthat this Informant
perceiving the said prisoner hold his left Arm close
to his Body than is usual look hold of it and then
discovered the Handherchief which he had missed
under Carried Arm, and on taking it from him
the said prisoner acknowledged to have taken the
Handherchief saying it was for Want of Bread
that he had done itand this Informant further
saith that the Handkerchief now produced in the
same that he lost out of his pocket, is his property
and other Value of our Shilling and upwards
