The Informations of William Thornbugh Brown of
Cheapside London Goldsmith and William Payne< no role > This name instance is in set 2582.
one of the Marshalls of the City of London Taken
this 13th Feby 1782

Informant William Thornburgh Brown< no role > saith that the
Prisoner John Parry< no role > lived with William Brown< no role > Informants late
Sather (with whom Informant also lived and transented his
Business) as a Shop Porter in the Month of January last, and [..]
the eleventh of the same Month he this Informant gave to the
Prisoner a small Paper Packet wafered containing two Bank
Notes the one for fifteen pounds and the other for the pounds and
also half a Guinea in Gold directed to Mr. Burns where a Gold Refiner
living in Threadneedle street to whom the Prisoner was denied to
carry with him and to being back with him Six ounces of five
Gold which wod be given to him in Consideration of the Contents of
the Paper Packet which Informant told the Prisoner was of
Considerable value and therefore desired that he Wod take care of
it Informant Saith that he also gave to the Prisoner other
[..] Value which he desired him to deliver of agreeab [..]
[..] saly that the Prisoner is about
[..] and [..] informant that he had lock the
above mentd. happen humket containing the Notes and his of a
Guinea that on Monday [..] the 11th Janry but the Prisoner left
the service of Informants Factory withoutsurry him any Notice thereof
taking with him instany then Cloathe them what he had
about him said that he did not afterwards see the Prisoner
untill he was apprehended

Informant William Payne< no role > This name instance is in set 2582. sayth that being in Cheapside
on Friday Evening last he was Supplied to by Thornburgh
Brown brother to the informant William Thornburgh Brown< no role >
to take the Prisoner change, and Mr Brown then alledged
to Informant that he such puts the Prisoner had defranded him of two
Bauk Notes, that Informant thereupon took the Prisoner
Custody and went with him to Wood street Compter where
Informant having seconed him audit where the Noticewell
and recommended did to since to deliver them up to Mr.
Brown that Prisoner told informant that he had a
been in much trouble having been arrested and that he
had despend of one on both st them but his Informant
caught posstively say which
